Courtesy of TechRadar, here are the top E3 rumors poised to take the gaming universe by storm in 2018!Sony will be updating with a sequel to The Last Of Us, as well as Insomniac's brand new Spiderman title. Virtual Reality will take center stage, as Sony abandons the portable hardware market with their underwhelming Playstation Vita.
As for Microsoft, Halo 6 is expected to see its first reveal for the Xbox One X at E3 2018, slated for a potential 2019 release. Halo 5 has already been updated for the Xbox One X to run at native 4K, and 343 is intended to upgrade the failed Master Cheif Collection for an Xbox One X launch. We can only hope this includes a Windows 10 PC release. Gears of War 5 is also rumored to show, as well as a full-fledged Fable reboot, set to fix the issues that plagued the reduced version of Fable 3.
Nintendo's new console the Switch is running riot in sales, with an original Mario and Zelda titles at launch. Super Smash Bros for the Nintendo Switch is expected to turn heads all around E3 2018. The latest release for the Wii U was in my opinion, the best Super Smash Bros yet. Pity, the Wii U, was quickly one of Nintendo's worst gaming consoles only eclipsed by the mediocre Virtual Boy. Metroid Prime 4 is also rumored and best of all, a potential new Pokemon console release rumored to remain named Pokemon Stars.
Finally, both Ubisoft, Bethesda, and Square-Enix are set to reclaim their lost fanbases after several years of tumultuous releases. Featuring a potential new Elder Scrolls adventure, a Final Fantasy 7 remake, sequels to Assasins Creed or Splinter Cell, and most excitingly Beyond Good & Evil 2, a sequel to the cult classic!
